How often do you pray for our children?

“Well…I pray with my child every night before he goes to bed, and before I go to bed. We also pray as a family at most meal times.”

However, we should be interceding for our children; going in and really praying FOR our children in the throne room of the Father Himself.

these are 5 important biblical prayers for our children :
That my child would be committed to Christ

God, may Your will be done. Please help teach my child that the best life is one that is totally committed to Christ. I pray that they would seek You with their whole heart. I pray that their name would be added to the Book of Life. Please help me teach my kids that they should ‘present their bodies as a living sacrifice holy and acceptable to You’ and that they would not be ‘conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of their mind, that by testing they may discern what Your will is, what is good and acceptable and perfect.’ -Romans 12:1-2

[prayer] That my child would be respectful

God, You are on Your throne. You are good. Almighty God, I pray that my child would “be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.” Romans 13:1. I pray that my child would respect the authority above them, including me as a parent, as well as their school, church, and government authorities.

[prayer] That my child would be wise against the devil but soft toward God

Father, You are perfect and good to us. Help my child to see Satan’s schemes and to be alert and ready. Help my child to ‘submit therefore to God.’ and to ‘resist the devil’ so that ‘he will flee’ from them. -James 4:7

Allow my child to ‘make the most of every opportunity because the days are evil.’ Ephesians 5:16
